Penn Dot (278-1171) maintains Rt. 267, Quaker Lake Road, and North Road to Montrose; township maintains all other roads.
Septic tanks should be pumped on a regular basis.

Code Enforcement: - any Supervisors or COG at 570-465-2633.
Building permits are required, and can be obtain from the Secretary, a Supervisor, or downloaded from Documents.
An Erosion & Sedimentation Plan is required for any excavation, contact the Susquehanna County Conservation District,
at 278-4600 ext. 280. Also call 1-800-962-7962 to check if there are buried wires or pipes 48 hours in advance of the excavation.
Garbage service is provide by two contractors:
APEX: Garbage collected Monday - purchase Apex blue bags at Choconut Market.
Recycled material collected 3rd Wednesday each month - purchase Apex clear bags at Choconut Market.
Apex does not pick up on the following holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and News Years day. The pickup will usually occur on the day following the holiday. Call Apex at 1-800-222-2028 if you have any questions.
Susquehanna Disposal - Garbage collected each Thursday, use your own black bags, maximum 3. Recycled material picked up 1st and 3rd Thursday with garbage, in clear bags. Call 570-934-0958 between 7am - 7 pm.
Recycled material can also be dropped off at the Susquehanna County Recycling Center south of Montrose.
